Account Basics
Once you are logged in to the Yono App, your account is your personal space. This guide explains each account section, what the settings mean, and how to keep your account accurate and secure.
Setting Up Your Account
Account setup happens in dalawang phases. Ang unang phase — creating your account — takes place before your first login. If you have not done this yet, visit the Beginner Guide first.
Ang second phase ay ang pag-profile completion matapos mag-login sa unang pagkakataon. You can access all account settings by navigating to the account or profile icon in the app — usually found in the top right corner.
What Each Account Section Means
Profile Information
Your profile section stores your name, contact details, and account identifier. You can update most fields here, though some — like your registered mobile number — may require identity re-verification before changes take effect.
Security Settings
This is where you manage your password, PIN, and two-factor authentication preferences. It is strongly recommended to keep two-factor authentication enabled at all times. Changing your password here also logs out any other active sessions.
Notifications
Control how and when the app communicates with you. You can enable or disable push notifications, email alerts, and SMS updates independently. Notification preferences do not affect core app functionality.
Linked Contact Details
Your account may support multiple linked contact methods — email and phone. You can add, verify, or remove these from the account settings page. At least one verified contact must remain on the account at all times.
App Preferences
Language, display, and general app behaviour settings live here. Changes apply immediately and persist across sessions on the same device. On some versions, preferences can be synced across devices when logged into the same account.
Managing Your Account Securely
Security is something you should revisit periodically — hindi lang tuwing initial setup. Narito ang mga habits na magpapanatiling safe sa account mo:
Review your linked contact details every few months to ensure they are still current.
If you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else, change your password immediately and check your active sessions.
Never share your account credentials, one-time verification codes, or PINs with anyone — even someone claiming to be app support.
If you change your phone number, update it in the app before porting or discontinuing the old number.
Enable two-factor authentication if it is not already active — it is the single most effective account protection measure available.
Account Activity and Session Management
Some versions of the app offer an active sessions view — a list of all devices currently logged into your account. If you see a device or location you do not recognise, terminate that session immediately and change your password.
